For performance of this operation it is necessary for you to have a spring coupler. Specialised service centres Ford have the following special tool:

- Spring coupler 204-167 (14-042);

- Adapter 204-167, 204-215 (15-111).

Spring removal spend in the following sequence:

- Compress a spring by means of a spring coupler;

- The subsequent operations are described in section 12.6.1.
