As settlement base for РСМ the signal of the gauge of an angle of rotation of a cranked shaft (СКР) serves. РСМ operates a primary winding of the coil of ignition after will translate signal СКР in the digital form. РСМ for short time interrupts a current in a primary winding, as a result the power-current moves to spark plugs (fig. 211).

Block RSM defines the optimum moment of ignition in each cylinder.

Data of the various moments of ignition, and also all characteristics of the external units participating in work of system of ignition are stored in its memory. For example, it processes signals of gauge SKR at engines Zetec-SE and signals of the gauge of a detonation (KS). Current signals of the gauge of an angle of rotation of a cranked shaft are constantly compared to the data put in memory РСМ. Before to give a command on искрообразование, the management block the power unit processes the data received from separate elements of system of injection of fuel, such as the oxygen gauge, the gauge of the mass expense of air, the gauge of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft, and also from various temperature gauges.

Depending on loading on the engine (idling, the partial loading, full loading) and quantities of fresh air the working mix in the combustion chamber burns down with various speed. That as it is possible to use is better energy from fuel combustion, the management block changes the moment of ignition for each separate cylinder, depending on loading to the engine.
