The management block power unit EEC-V with built in block PATS - constantly analyzes the current data arriving to it from various units of the car (number of turns, pressure in an inlet collector, air temperatures on an admission, a cooling liquid etc.), also compares them to the characteristics brought in memory of the module. After comparison of the data the management block sets the moment of opening of atomizers with electromagnetic management, quantity of fuel and structure of a working mix. The block of management EEC-V can be reprogrammed. This one of the major advantages of a control system when it is possible to make calibration in connection with occurrence of new strategy. Other advantage: by means of portable diagnostic device Ford "FDS-2000" reprogramming can be easily solved and the program is adjusted according to new requirements on management.

The safety relay of system of injection of fuel is established on a lateral wall before a door of the passenger sitting to the right of the driver (fig. 196). The relay interrupts fuel giving at leak detection in the power supply system, at failure and strong rocking. Interruption of giving of fuel you can distinguish on put forward upwards relay buttons. To activate the relay, check up at first the power supply system on leaks, further translate the ignition key in position "About" and press the relay button. Then switch the ignition key for some seconds in position II and it is definitive — in position I.
The gauge of the mass expense of air (MAF) is established in front of the case throttle заслонки. At the heart of work of gauge MAF a heating thread. The onboard processor receives the valid density of soaked up air from various degree of heating of a thread. Gauge MAF signal influences on:
- Quantity of injected fuel;
- Corner of an advancing of ignition;
- The valve of adjustment of rotation of a cranked shaft idling (IAC);
- System of catching of steams of fuel (EVAP);
- Control system of low pressure (EGR);
- Management of the oxygen gauge.
The gauge of management throttle заслонкой (TP) is established by position directly in the case throttle заслонки. Works by a potentiometer principle. Signals ТР of the gauge influence on:
- Quantity of injected fuel;
- Regulation of system of idling and corner of an advancing of ignition.

Fuel atomizers with four apertures are established on the general distributor of fuel (fig. 197).
The gauge of temperature of soaked up air is established directly in gauge MAF case. Gauge IAT signals are used for correction of quantity of injected fuel and idling adjustment.
The gauge of an angle of rotation of a cranked shaft (CKP) is established on the majority of models of cars Focus on a flange of the block of cylinders. The gauge informs the data on angular position of a cranked shaft, and also current number of turns of the engine. Its signals influence on:
- Quantity of injected fuel and injection time;
- Ignition time;
- Adjustment of turns of a cranked shaft idling.

Failure of this gauge will paralyse completely engine management. The engine is not started before gauge replacement (fig. 198).
The gauge of an angle of rotation of a camshaft (СМР) is established on a block head before the first cam of a final camshaft. The gauge works by a principle of a magnetic induction. It operates consecutive injection of fuel. On its signal the management block reckons phases timing from 1st cylinder.
The ljambda-probe (HO2S) is established directly in a final collector. It transfers to the block of management the data about the maintenance of oxides in the fulfilled gases. To reduce its time of operation (approximately 3) to a minimum, the ljambda-probe at each start-up of the cold engine is in addition warmed up. The ljambda-probe signal influences quantity of injected fuel and work of system of catching of steams of fuel (EVAP). The oxygen gauge strongly influences work and service life каталитического neutralizer.
The relay of inclusion of the hydraulic booster of steering pressure (PSP) - is established on the pipeline of the pump of a high pressure, on the right in a motor compartment. It joins at pressure occurrence in hydraulic system. The signal from the relay estimates EEC-V if necessary to lift idling turns. PSP influences on:
- Adjustment of rotation of a cranked shaft idling;
- Quantity of injected fuel;
- The moment of ignition of a working mix.
The gauge of speed (VSS) is established on картере transmissions. Works by a principle of the gauge of the Hall.
